  2. 40+ faculty from five Engg. departments involved
  3. IIT Delhi would clearly impact the tech. education growth in a friendly country
  4. Scheme to attract bright students for research
  5. Experience with distance education on a large scale
  6. Revenue of nearly a USD one million per year to support the program and faculty involved

Assistive Technology Group (Devices for the visually impaired)

IIT Delhi

 

Set up an Inter-disciplinary group of students and faculty to develop devices for the visually impaired. Today the group is involved in design, development and technology transfer of four devices for the visually impaired. Activities has resulted in exposure and sensitization of a number of students.
